Itinerary

Departure from Euston Station
You will need to be at Euston Station at 8:00am with your printed train tickets for your outbound and inbound rail journeys. Your train will depart at 8:30am and arrive in to Oxenholme Station at 11:08am.

Oxenholme and the Lake District
Once you arrive, your guide will show you to the vehicle that will transport you around the Lake District for the rest of the day. Set off along winding country lanes, past cute cottages and quaint villages. Lake Windermere glitters to one side, providing stunning views.
Arriving at Lake Windermere, enjoy a spectacular cruise on England’s largest lake. With stunning scenes of the Lakeland Mountains, there is so much natural beauty to see, it is breathtaking; don’t forget your camera!

Next is a visit to the medieval village of Hawkshead, a beautiful spot with a church that dates back to 1300. Pass picturesque beauty spot Tarn Hows and see the resident deer of Yew Tree Valley. Make a quick stop at Yew Tree Farm, the filming location for the Hollywood film Mrs Potter.

Cream Tea at Lindeth Howe – Family Home of Beatrix Potter
Visit the family home of world-famous author Beatrix Potter and have a traditional British cream tea. Now a beautiful country house hotel, Lindeth Howe is set in 6 acres of private gardens. Enjoy a selection of scones with clotted cream and jam, accompanied by a hot pot of tea in this beautiful setting.

Your guide will escort you to the train station for your return journey back to London. Leave Oxenholme at 6.30pm, arriving at Euston Station at 9.24pm. (Departure times on Saturdays may vary, so please refer to your welcome pack on the day).
