Itinerary

Discover some of the most picturesque areas of the United Kingdom on this fantastic day trip to the English countryside. For one day, you can swap the hustle and bustle of London for the fresh air and tranquillity of the Cotswolds – what’s not to love? Step into the beautiful Blenheim Palace, catch stunning views of some of the prettiest villages within the Cotswolds and have a delicious two-course lunch at a quintessentially British pub.

Start your adventure nice and early in central London, from where your coach will be leaving at 8:30am (make sure you are there 30 minutes beforehand to check in).

The Cotswolds
Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Cotswolds encompasses many picturesque villages within the counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and a few others. As you’re driven through one of England's most beautiful regions you’ll be treated to unmissable views of medieval villages and bustling market towns (including the lovely Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold), rolling hills and the breath-taking countryside.

There will also be a swift one-hour long stop in the charming Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the Venice of the Cotswolds. Voted many a time as one of the prettiest villages in England, it’s safe to say you’ll want to have your cameras at the ready for this stop!

Take a break from all the sightseeing and enjoy a delicious two-course lunch at a traditional, charmingly rustic British pub nestled in the Cotswolds.

Blenheim Palace
The birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill is a striking country house worthy of a fairy-tale located in the Oxfordshire countryside. A designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, Blenheim Palace was built in an English Baroque style back in the 18th century. For about two hours, you’ll have the chance to discover the palace’s sumptuous State Rooms, stroll through the lovely gardens designed by renowned landscape architect Capability Brown and grab a photo opportunity at Blenheim Lake – home to what was once described as the ‘finest view in England’ by Lord Randolph Churchill (father of Winston).

Exhibition: Churchill and Blenheim Palace
In this fascinating and exclusive exhibition, visitors will get a rare insight into the private world of Blenheim Palace’s most famous resident and the ‘Greatest Briton’ – Winston Churchill. Step into the very room he was born in, see a lock of his hair and visit the palace’s formal gardens and parkland to find the spot where he proposed to his beloved wife Clementine. The exhibition will also be sharing plenty of artefacts, photographs, anecdotes and interesting facts – revealing key moments from Churchill’s extraordinary life. The tour will be finishing at approximately 6:30pm - subject to traffic conditions, you will be dropped off in either Victoria or Kensington (Gloucester Road).
